Many of you know me (Chuck) through Three23 Woodworks, and I want to share some personal news that affects the the immediate future of Three23 Woodworks. On September 25th, I will be having surgery to remove a brain tumor. Because of this, the business will be on pause for a season while I focus on recovery.

This is not an easy announcement to make, but I want you to hear my heart behind the name of this business. Colossians 3:23 says, “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” That has been the guiding principle of my work with wood, and it is the same guiding principle for how I walk through this season. Whether building cabinets or facing brain surgery, I belong to the Lord, and my work is ultimately unto Him.

For now, my “work” looks different. It means entrusting the business into God’s hands, resting in His goodness, and faithfulness while recovering from this with great hope and expectation to return to the craft I love soon.
